Before and After: An Unpredictable Treatment for a Traditional Wedding Photo
This wedding photograph was being framed as a gift from our customer to her son, who recently got marred in June. The goal of the framing treatment was to keep it classic, simple and elegant; the perfect treatment for wedding photos. This look was achieved by choosing a slightly rubbed and antiqued white frame, frame 12596, Shabby Chic French White and a slightly darker colored mat. The mat that was chosen is mat 8648, Taupe which is an acid-free, Alpharag mat with a continuous core. For additional conservation quality she chose to have the photograph dry mounted on Archival mounting board and topped off with UV-Non-Glare acrylic. The finished size was 15 ¼ x 18 ¼ and cost $101.85. The simple, muted colors of the frame and the mat board don’t overpower the photograph but instead enhance and mimic the colors in the photograph, giving it structure and presence.
What a perfect gift idea! Shabby chic is so trendy in home décor right now; we just love how warm yet refined it looks with a wedding photograph. What do you think of the framing treatment?
