Before and After: A Busy Marketplace

This beautiful drawing of a busy marketplace was created using pastels and was brought to us by one of our Showroom customers, for framing. As the story goes, our customer had admired this piece for many years, as it was hanging in a relative’s house in Puerto Rico. After adoring it for a number of years, it was finally given to her.
For this piece of work, the customer chose to use a double mat in light, muted colors with lots of texture.  The color of the top mat is Bruxelles with a 3 1/4" border. Bruxelles is a discontinued mat but the same look can be achieved with our collection of linen mat board.  The color of the bottom mat is Tumbleweed with a 3 1/2" border. To further compliment the tones in the artwork, the frame that was chosen is from the Mode Collection, Mottled Bronze, a high design Italian made custom frame.  We recently discovered  Mottled Bronze has been discontinued by the manufacturer, but is still currently in stock for American Frame customers. The finished size of the piece is 34 1/4 x 26 1/2. Also chosen was UV acrylic and acid-free mounting board to provide extra protection and archival quality to this wonderful piece of work. The price of this piece, fully assembled was $243.71. What a difference!
